The concept of the film centers around an artist in his senior year of high school. He struggles to focus on anything other than his art after being contacted by a gallery to do a showing. The artist begins slipping away from reality as he becomes way too involved in his work. This is not the first film the two directors have created that has earned them recognition. One of their films placed them among the 12 finalists in the "60 Second Film Festival," sponsored by K & W Tire, Fine Living Lancaster and Penn Cinema. Callais says this was a great accomplishment for them, as they had been selected from a pool of 100 submissions.
Callais and Bovie take their work very seriously. For this film they chose to do casting calls rather than just choose a few friends to play the roles of on-screen talent. Alongside the group of actors selected, professional video and lighting equipment is also being used to bring their ideas to life.
The future for these ambitious filmmakers is surely to be a successful one. Callais says he sees no need to slow down and "wants to do it all". "There's so much that you can do with film, so why limit myself?" Callais says.
