In Competition
In a report written in occasion of the film screening at the Little Rock Film Festival’s Teen Filmmaker Lab, the Arkansas Times writes about Christopher's documentary-style film as "deeply personal". In his film debut, Scribner explores his family’s “lingering pain over losing […] his sister Roshundalyn and his cousin Xavier to separate car accidents” and also his younger sister’s “ongoing fight against Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC)".
For Scribner, making this film was clearly a meaningful and therapeutic endeavor. In the same Arkansas Times piece, he says that screening the film for family and friends was emotional: “everybody cried … they said it exceeded their expectations.”
With Three Wishes One Choice, Scribner won First Place at the 2nd Y-CAM Film Festival in 2015, as well as a Student Television Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (the same org that presents Emmys).
